The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at AVCE conducted a National Level Technical Symposium “EZRA 2K18” on the 14th of August 2018. The Convenor of the event was Prof. V. Vidhya, HOD/CSE and the Coordinator of the event was Prof. J. Jeejo Vetharaj, AP/CSE.
Various events such as Paper Presentation, Programming, Web Designing, Quiz, Best Manager and Connection were organised. The Staff and Students of CSE Department participated in various committees like Reception, Refreshment, Hospitality, Event Organisation, Prize Distribution, Certificate Designing etc.
Judges were invited from University College of Engineering, Nagercoil. 105 students from various institutions participated in the symposium and exposed their talents.
The inaugural ceremony started at 9.30 am with the Tamil Thai Vaalthu, followed by Lighting of Kuthuvillaku. The Welcome address was proposed by Ms. Sherin Priyadharshini, Final Year CSE. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. Chellakumar Rose, Correspondent of AVCE. The Guest of Honour of EZRA 2K18 was Mr. K. Dhanasingh, CEO and Founder, Adhi Software Pvt Ltd.
The Session continued with various events. In the Valedictory function, the winners were awarded with certificates and cash awards by the Principal Dr. P. Senthil Kumar and Vice Principal Prof. T. Valan Arasu. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by the student coordinator Mr. S. Vimaldhas, Final Year CSE and the valedictory function was concluded with the National Anthem.
