My Internship experience at Safran engineering

I am Monisha. S. I am doing my B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering at Annai Vailankanni College Of Engineering. While studying my second year i thought about to apply for an internship. Then i applied for an internship at Safran Engineering services with the help of Mr. Damodaran Subramanian ( SAEINDIA Aerospace Board member ).

Safran is a global high-technology group focused on Aerospace, Defense and Security. The Safran Group companies include well known names like Snecma, Labinal, Turbomeca, Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, Sagem, Morpho etc. Safran Engineering Services, a part of the Safran Group and a division of Labinal, has a workforce of more than 3000 employees, based out of 8 countries & working in multiple specialized fields of expertise. It provides customers with solutions for all their engineering needs. Specific to India, Safran Engineering Services India (based out of Bangalore), showcases expertise in Aerostructures, Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, Technical Documentation, Embedded Software, Systems Engineering, Electronics and Engineering Software.

I successfully received an Internship opportunity at Safran, Bangalore within the AASI domain under Mr. Mahesh Madhavan Nair. Before coming to this company i was worried about my internship period as i did not have much experience. But after coming to the company i became confident mainly beacuse of the frendliness and approachability of the company colleagues.

During the internship period, i got a good exposure to the Aircraft landing gear Systems, Lug Systems, Bolt Group, Brackets, Stress Analysis, Junction Analysis etc. Also I learnt the way they work in an Aerospace Industry along with the company ethics.

I would like to thank the staff members and management of Annai Vailankanni college of engineering (AVCE) for providing exposure to the vaious oppurtunities available for engineering students, without which my internship at Safran Engineering services would not have been possible.
