AVCE project team wins 1st position at the state level “Dr. Kalam Young Achiever award 2016”

World Youth Federation, a social NGO in association with Anna University had conducted “Dr. Kalam Young Achiever award 2016” a state Level tech event to commemorate “National Youth and students Day; NYSD. The award was presented to engineering college students who have developed innovative noteworthy projects at the state level.

Annai Vailankanni college of Engineering participated in this mega technical innovation fiesta with two projects; Auditions took place in Coimbatore, Chennai and Dindigul, all together 345 projects from almost all the Engineering colleges of TamilNadu have competed for the coveted awards and positions. Out of 345 projects presented, 55 projects have been selected for awards under various category to be presented on October 15, the day when our beloved past president and National hero Dr. APJ Abdul kalam was born.

In the two projects presented by the students of Annai Vailankanni college of Engineering one project have been placed as the best Innovative project to win the coveted First place and another project by AVCE students won 17th position. This remarkable achievement by the master minds of AVCE adds another golden feather in the “crown of success” created by the students of Annai Vailankanni college of Engineering.

Dr. Kalam Young Achievers award presentation ceremony will take place on October 15 during the birth Anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul kalam at Anna University, Guindy. We are proud to have won the first and seventeenth position in the state level competition. We are also the only college from Kanyakumari district to be selected for the awards.
