IEEE Sponsored National Level Three Days Virtual Workshop on "RESEARCH METHODOLOGY"

The department of Mechanical Engineering organized a Three days' workshop on Research Methodology in Association with IEEE Students Chapter of AVCE during June 02, 2021, to June 04, 2021. Dr. G. Gaswin Kastro, Vice-Principal & IEEE SB Counsellor, delivered the welcome address. Dr. A. Benham, Principal delivered the presidential address and motivated the students to participate many National level technical competitions. The resource persons Dr. G. Puthilibai, Professor, Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai, Dr. J. Suresh Kumar, Madras Institute of Technology Campus, Anna University, Chennai, Dr. P. Tamilchelvan, Professor, Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal took effort to enrich the research scholars on research methodology. 

It covered the basics of research methodology focusing on theoretical and practical inputs. Specifically, the formulation of research problem, formulation of research hypothesis and testing of hypothesis, conducting literature review, data collection methods and selection of appropriate parametric or non- parametric statistical method for analysing data.

 

In this online workshop, 250 participants attended via Google Meet and more than 75 participants attended through YouTube. The workshop coordinators Dr. G. Shanthos Kumar and Mr. J. Prabhu made all the arrangements for the successful conduction of the workshop. Dr. J. Sunil, Dean of Research and Convener delivered the vote of thanks.
