The
Department of Science and Humanities organized a webinar on ‘Prevention of HIV’
on November 16, 2021. The primary objective of the webinar is to empower and
increase the awareness of participants to HIV, its impact, management and
availability of support systems. This is to encourage early testing and
lifestyle changes that will thereby reduce and prevent further infection. Dr. G. Golding Sheeba, AP/Physics delivered
the welcome address. Dr. A. Benham, Principal delivered the presidential
address and motivated the students to participate many National level seminar.
Rtn. PAG. Dr. A.J.S. Pravin, VID.DD. Professor/Hod/DVI, Sree Mookambika
Institute of Medical Sciences, Kulasekaram explained structural characteristics
of HIV, role of enzyme, life cycle of HIV, HIV transmission and symptoms of HIV
and CDC Guidelines for HIV prevention. Mrs. S. Bharathi, Assistant Professor of
English delivered the Vote of Thanks.
