                A guest lecture on “Advanced CAD/CAM/CAE Technologies in Modern Manufacturing” was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, on 9th July 2026 at 10:00 AM. The session was delivered by Er. K. Augustin Raj, M.E., General Manager, CADPOINT Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd., who shared valuable industry-oriented insights into the latest developments in computer-aided design, manufacturing, and engineering analysis. The lecture highlighted the integration of CAD, CAM, and CAE throughout the product development cycle, covering areas such as 3D modelling, design optimization, simulation, virtual prototyping, computer-aided manufacturing, and engineering analysis. The resource person discussed how these technologies enhance design accuracy, productivity, quality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturing efficiency in modern industries. Practical examples and industry applications helped students understand how digital engineering tools are used to address complex design and manufacturing challenges. The session also provided insights into emerging trends such as digital manufacturing, automation, simulation-driven design, and smart manufacturing, creating awareness of the evolving skill requirements in the engineering sector.
