NSS organized a Special one
day Medical Camp and Cancer Awareness
Program at AVCE on 23/08/2024.Students at the camp were screened for
various ailments, including blood pressure, diabetes, fever, eye infection, etc.
organizing free medical camp for students helps them to
get sensitized about health issues. Apart from this it also makes students
aware of their health status. It is also a way of informing students about the
necessity of adequate nutritious food, clean drinking water, dangers and the
risk of environmental pollution.
Conducting these camps for students also aims at providing free tests for diabetes, blood pressure, hemoglobin etc and also provides counseling for students by trained doctors and specialists. About 550 students attended the camp and got benefited. A breast and cervical cancer awareness program was also conducted on the same day for women's.
