A Program for girl students
namely “POLICE AKKA” was
organized by the Internal compliance committee of Annai Vailankanni College of
Engineering on 22-11-2024 . It has created
an awareness and understanding among the girl students and female staff.
The program started with a prayer song by the students. The Convener of the
program Dr.G.Golding Sheeba welcomed the gathering.The chief guest Mr. Libi Paul
Raj Sub Inspector of Police Anjugramam, Police station kanyakumari , Principal
Dr.R. Angelin Prabhavathy and Head Constable Mrs. Usha Anjugramam presided over
the function. The chief guest Mr. Libi
Paul Raj explained the importance of “Tamil Akka“ for the girl students also
he insisted the students to give complaints if any problems arise. He also gave
the head constable phone number to register complaints. Also he gave many
instructions and the ideas to overcome during critical situations. He
clarified the doubts raised by the students at the end of the session.Around75 girl
students have participated in this programme. The programme was concluded with the
vote of thanks by the student representative Linda of computer science
department. The program came to an end by singing National Anthem.
