The Department of
Biomedical Engineering, Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering, organized a
Hands-on Training on Biomedical Equipments on 29th January 2026 at 10.00 a.m.
in the Bosch Lab.The training session was handled by Ms. R. Sangeetha,
Technician from Karpaga Diagnostic Centre, Thoothukudi District. The program
aimed to provide practical knowledge and real-time exposure to various
biomedical equipments used in clinical and diagnostic applications. The resource person explained the working principles, components,
applications, and safety precautions of biomedical devices. The students
actively participated and gained hands-on experience, which helped them
understand the practical aspects beyond theoretical concepts.The program was
well organized under the guidance of the department.Mrs. C. Jeya Shree, AP/BME
coordinated the event, and Dr. D. Sheeja Malar served as the convener. The
program was supported by Mrs. S. Sivakala (HOD, BME), Mrs. N. Deena Nepolean
(Dean), and Dr. R. Angelin Prabhavathy (Principal).Overall, the training was
highly informative and beneficial for the students, enhancing their technical
skills and knowledge in biomedical equipment handling.
