AVCE students win award in National level Electric Bike racing competition at Centurion University, Odisha

The students of AVCE have yet another time made us proud by winning the "Best Knowledgeable Team Award" in a National Level Bike racing competition held at Centurion University, Odisha from Dec 28 - Dec 30. Our students were one among the 50 teams qualified to participate in the event.



Apart from their regular academics, the students and staff members of AVCE have formed a team ( Team Incredible) and took up the task of building an Eco-friendly E-Bike. The bike is powered with 48 volt 500 watts motor and 48 volt 36AH Battery and has additional features such as sporty design, GPS based tracking system and speaker system. This E-Bike has met the requirements of the National level E-Bike racing competition held at Centurion University, Odisha.

Our team (Incredible) traveled to the venue at Centurion University and they were able to get qualified within best 9 teams in the Endurance Test. They also went on to win the "Best Knowledgeable Team Award" among the participating teams. We would like to congratulate the Team Incredible and the concerned  staff members who were instrumental in this achievement.

A reception was arranged for the winning team at the college premises. On behalf of management, Dr. Chellakumar rose, Correspondent of AVCE announced 60,000 rupees cash prize.

Motorage 2017 - Mini bike Design, Fabrication and riding event at AVCE

Annai Vailankanni college of Engineering conducted its First National level Mini bike Design, Fabrication and riding event “Motorage 2017” on August 31st and September 1 2017. This type of an event is been organized first time in the district and is intended to bring out the innate technical talents of young budding engineers. 

In this event students from various technical colleges and universities like Anna University, Panimalar Engg college, VIT, SSM Engineering college, Annai Vailankanni college of Engineering have competed with vehicles like E Bike, 125 CC, 60CC, 80CC and self balancing scoter which were designed and fabricated by student themselves. On Day 1, (31/08/2017) the event was inaugurated by Dr. M. C. Rajan, Parish Priest & Legal Advisor of Kottar Diocese; he greeted the technical thirst of the students and flagged of the event in prime.

On Day 2, the Technical event rounds like Acceleration test, brake test, skip pad test and track events were adjudged and evaluated by the Chief Guest of Honour for the program, Shri. Umesh Pratap Singh , Chairman ISNEE New Delhi and Associate member of Federation of Motor sports club and Shri. Ashwani Sharma, Research Technical Engineer of ISNEE; after screening of rounds the vehicles who have cleared the fitness test were permitted to race in track.

Inspired by the past achievements of senior students, the first year students of Annai Vailankanni college of Engineering have Designed and fabricated E-bike, 60cc vehicle and have contested in Motorage 2017; the first year students felt enthusiastic and privileged in the competition as they were not underrated in the event and have cleared the selection rounds with confidence.

This event have really brought out the innate talents of students and showcased them to real time challenges which made them to feel inspired. The Students of Annai Vailankanni college of Engineering with the support of Management has organized this mega event.
