One Day Workshop - Website Design, Development & Hosting


An  one day national – level workshop was organised by the Computer Science and engineering department on 18th July 2018. The workshop was based on the topic of Website Design, Development and Hosting which was conducted by Mr. Mohammed Shaheer & his teammates, from MATT Engineering Equipments, Nagercoil.


This program focused on web development, the skills and education needed for an web developer, career opportunities, current market trends, and skills for web development professional. As it was a part of their curriculum it was an added benefit to the student community.

Topics covered on workshop:
  • HTML5
  • Cascading Style Sheets
  • Scripting languages
  • Registering web domains and Workspace


The beneficiary of the workshop includes not only 17 intra college students but also 40 inter college students along with their faculty members.

Industry seminar on Solar Power Systems


A Seminar on Solar Power System was held at our college premises on 13.10.2015. Mr. Shiva Subramanian, the Managing Director of Goggles Energy Pvt. Ltd., along with three Engineers, interacted with the students. The meeting was organized with the purpose of providing a real world exposure on renewable energy to our students. 

The session started with a presentation on designing a solar power system and the various factors to be considered. The method of manufacturing solar cells was also explained to the students in detail. Moreover, The experts gave an explanation on the types of solar cells and the importance of each type. The team concluded their presentation answering numerous questions raised by the students.

In the second session of the program, three student teams of AVCE, who are working on projects related to solar power, presented their project ideas before the panel of experts. The experts and student project teams had detailed discussions on the projects. The experts provided the students with various technical information and suggestions to enhance the designs modeled by the students. 

The Engineers appreciated the innovative designs of the students and assured their persistent support in all the future endeavors. At the end of the session, all the teams acquired the needed technical information for their projects. The session was highly relevant and useful for the students of our College.
