As a part of two day workshop on advancements in Engineering and Technology Institution’s Innovation Council of AVCE organised “CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM” on 22nd October 2024,forenoon.The program was conducted in Bosch Lab of Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering.Dr.A.Johnny Varghese,Training and placement officer introduced the guest and welcomed the gathering.Mr. Ravi R.R,Assistant Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering coordinated the program and made all arrangements.
Resource Person Dr.K.Giridharan,A.M.I.E,M.E,Ph.D
retired scientist and joint director,DRDO,Ministry of Defence interacted with
all final year students.Engineering is a diverse field with numerous
specializations and career paths.With rapid technological advancements and an
evolving job market,engineering students face unique challenges in navigating
their career options. To face these challenges the resource person highlighted
various opportunities for engineering students in public sector and private
sector.He emphasized the importance of
GATE examination for engineering students and available opportunities
for engineering students in DRDO, Armed forces,railways and various other
government organization through UPSC. Increasing the employability index of
engineering students was the focus of his presentation.Effective career
guidance for engineering students is essential for helping them navigate their
future paths,with this he completed his presentation.
